Vincent Courtois has been involved with many people, playing violoncello in various different projects and thus working in many music styles, such as world, jazz, chanson, and ethnic. In 2000, he surrounded himself with Marc Ducret and Dominique Pifarély, respectively, a guitarist and violinist by trade, and they composed and recorded The Fitting Room, an experimental jazz album. The dialogue between the stringed instruments accompanied by no rhythmic section is tinged by a tortured melancholy and has an overwhelming feeling of bizarreness. Due to the uncommon way each musician plays his instrument, it seems like The Fitting Room would be a perfect soundtrack for a nightmarish cinematographic version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. - All Music Guide
